RATHO
Welcome at Ratho
Welcome
An authentic experience in the Heart of Limpopo
It is believed that the name Ratho comes from Rath, Scottish Gaelic, for a place where there are hill forts. This is indeed the case as signs of early civilisations can be found in the nearby koppies.
Ratho is conveniently situated as a stopover or extended stay between South Africa and Botswana on the banks of the Limpopo river. An unique bush experience, where body, mind and soul come to rest.

Word around the campfire
“Dear Sandra. We do not have enough words to say thank you for allowing us to stay on your piece of heaven for 3 days. We had amazing experiences and enjoyed every moment. There were so many highlights … the elephants, the lions, kudus and other antelope. The cherry on the cake was the leopard that caught a warthog in front of us! Thanks again. We trust that we will see each other again soon. Many blessings to you. ”
“”In all my years of overlanding adventures all over Africa, Ratho Bush Camp is in my top 3 places ever visited, such a special place where the magic of Africa comes alive. 10 out of 10 to Sandra and her team for making our time there incredibly special!
“Once you have been to Ratho, you have a hard time shaking off the experience. It is with each return that you realise: “it was not you who came back, it was Ratho fetching you!””
